Composting or Recycling ?


 

Depending on the product and use a lot of moulded fibre products can also be composted and are biodegradable with reference to the European Standard EN 13432.

Biodegradable moulded fibre products are returning to the ecological cycle. Compost with a mixture of moulded fibre materials is of similar quality to compost made from pure plant waste.

As all moulded fibre products are 100% recycable, EMFA prefers clearly the disposal of moulded fibre products to the paper recycling system. Used moulded fibre products are valuable raw-materials for the moulded fibre and paper industry!
